How to Calculate Binance Withdrawal Fees and Pay Less

Learn how to calculate Binance crypto withdrawal fees, compare supported networks and check the amount received before withdrawing.

When you withdraw USDT from Binance to another exchange or a personal wallet, the fee and amount received can differ by network. A fixed fee can take a substantial share of a small withdrawal. First check which networks the receiving platform supports, then compare the fee, minimum withdrawal and estimated amount received on Binance. Choosing an incompatible network can result in a loss of funds.

How Binance crypto withdrawal fees work

Withdrawals to external crypto addresses usually incur a fee to cover network transaction costs. Binance says crypto withdrawals generally have a flat fee per withdrawal. The amount varies by asset and network and may change with network conditions. Check the current withdrawal page before each transaction. Review the fee, minimum withdrawal and estimated amount received. After entering an amount, check the displayed fee and amount received, as well as the total deducted on the confirmation screen.

How to calculate the fee

If the fee is deducted from the amount entered, estimated amount received = withdrawal amount − withdrawal fee, and fee percentage = withdrawal fee ÷ withdrawal amount × 100%. For example, if you enter 100 USDT and a 1 USDT fee is deducted from that amount, you receive an estimated 99 USDT and the fee is 1%. With a 1,000 USDT withdrawal and the same fee and deduction method, you receive an estimated 999 USDT and the fee is 0.1%. These figures illustrate the calculation; they are not current rates. Check the deduction method, total debit and estimated amount received on the confirmation screen.

Comparing networks

Binance may offer several networks for USDT. Suppose Binance and the receiving platform support networks A, B and C, and the fee is deducted from a 100 USDT withdrawal. A hypothetical 0.5 USDT fee on network A leaves 99.5 USDT, a fee of 0.5%; 1 USDT on B leaves 99 USDT, or 1%; and 3 USDT on C leaves 97 USDT, or 3%. These are hypothetical figures, not actual or live fees. With all other conditions equal and the recipient supporting each network, A has the lowest direct withdrawal fee in this example. Include any later conversion or bridging costs and risks in your comparison.

Check the receiving network first

1. On the receiving platform, open the deposit page and select the asset. 2. Check its supported deposit networks and select one. 3. Copy the address for that network and any required Memo or Tag. 4. On Binance, select the same asset and network. 5. Check the address, fee and estimated amount received before confirming. Support for an asset does not mean the recipient supports it on every network. The withdrawal network must match a network supported by the recipient; choosing the wrong network can cause a loss of funds.

Compare supported networks

If the recipient supports several networks, compare Binance's current fees, minimums and estimated amounts received for those networks. Fees can change, so check before each withdrawal.

Watch the percentage on small withdrawals

Suppose each withdrawal costs 1 USDT, deducted from the amount entered. Withdrawing 20 USDT leaves 19 USDT and costs 5%; withdrawing 100 USDT leaves 99 USDT and costs 1%; withdrawing 1,000 USDT leaves 999 USDT and costs 0.1%. These figures are examples only.

Consider the number of withdrawals

At a hypothetical 1 USDT per withdrawal, five withdrawals cost 5 USDT, while combining them into one may cost 1 USDT. Consider when you need the funds and where you want to hold them before deciding to wait.

Include later costs

Check whether the recipient charges a fee and whether you will need to exchange, transfer or bridge the assets after receipt. Services can involve additional fees and risks. If you withdraw to a personal wallet, a later transfer generally requires the network's native asset for its fee; the requirements depend on the network and wallet.

Is the fee a percentage?

Binance's crypto fee page says withdrawals generally have a flat fee per transaction. The same fixed fee takes a larger percentage of a smaller withdrawal. Check the withdrawal screen for the actual fee and deduction method.

Why does a USDT withdrawal cost different amounts on different networks?

Network transaction costs and conditions can differ, as can Binance's displayed fees. Fees and minimums may change; check the current screen before submitting.

Will I need fees after withdrawing to a personal wallet?

Binance displays the applicable withdrawal fee before submission. A later transfer from your wallet will generally require a separate network fee; the asset needed depends on the network.

Does a trading fee rebate cover withdrawal fees?

Trading fees and withdrawal fees are different. Do not assume a trading fee discount or rebate applies to withdrawals; check the relevant terms and withdrawal screen.

Before you withdraw

Confirm the recipient supports the asset and selected network, and match Binance’s withdrawal network to the recipient’s deposit network. Check the address and any required Memo or Tag, the minimum, fee, total debit and estimated amount received. Consider any later exchange, transfer or bridging needs.
